Have you heard? The Dalai Lama recently stated that more women in leadership would make the world safer. In pointing out that women are more sensitive to others’ suffering, the Dalai Lama thinks more female leadership would promote deeper human values.
He was quoted as saying:
“We have to analyse what went wrong in the 20th century. At this very moment, people are killing each other. We cannot remain indifferent to the conflicts in the world because we are all one. We have to think how to create more peaceful 21st century. In order to produce warm-hearted and compassionate humanity, we have to make every effort. In that aspect, biologically, females have more ability. Women should take more active role in promoting deeper human values. In all professions, we need promotion of values.”
The Dalai Lama went on to say that women should develop more self-confidence; that there is a perception that women are weaker, but that should be changed, as it isn’t accurate.
There is basis for what the Dalai Lama said. These days, studies even show that those who go to a female doctor may receive better care.
There is a place for female leadership in the world, whether in franchising or other forms of business, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of that movement!
