Can you believe we’re almost to the halfway point of 2015! It seems like it was just yesterday that people were writing their goals and resolutions for the year. So for the big question: How are you doing? Are you on track to reach your goals? Have you already achieved a few of them? Chances are, as with most people, you’re doing great with some but not so great with the rest. Here are a few tips to help get you stay on track to have a successful 2015:
1. Don’t give up. If you already have, try again. As Confucius said, “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” You’ve still got more than half the year! Even if you can’t reach the entire goal you set, revise it, and do what you can!
2. Change your goals if you need to. Completing part of a goal is better than nothing, and if you get half of it done, it will be that much easier to complete it next year!
3. Add or take away goals that apply to your situation at this moment. Maybe you made a goal to work out more and then you hurt your back. If your situation has changed since you last made your goals, don’t be afraid to erase the ones that no longer apply.
As you work toward those goals, remember to reward yourself. If you have been staying on track or have already achieved a few of your goals, now might be the time for a halftime treat. Get rejuvenated and get yourself ready for the rest of the year!
